The FPGA chip of XILINS is also its proud product. FPGA chips are also widely used in the fields of signal processing systems, communication equipment, video broadcasting, artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
Xilinx currently meets more than half of the world's demand for FPGA products. The Xilinx product line also includes Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). CPLDs are usually faster than FPGAs in some control applications, but they provide fewer logic resources. Xilinx programmable logic solutions reduce the risk for manufacturers by reducing the time to develop products and speeding time to market for electronic equipment manufacturers. In 2022, XILINX was officially acquired by AMD as part of it.
After the acquisition of Xilinx, AMD has gained additional advantages in the key data center market; it has a leading position in the three major fields of CPU, GPU and FPGA. The business scope will also be further expanded, and its influence in many fields such as 5G communications, data centers, unmanned driving, and information security will be further prompted.
